Most of our rentals here in Baja are located just south of Rosarito, where Baja becomes rural, quieter, and peaceful. It is our opinion that this is where real good quality living starts in Baja. Here we are surrounded by ocean views, beaches for walking, good surfing, plenty of restaurants, entertainment, our local mountain, and places of interest.
Renting in Baja For Your First Time
Our most asked question is how do you rent in Baja, or what does someone need to do in order to get into a Baja rental?
For long term Baja rentals you will need to fill out a rental application, provide proof of the abilitiy to pay rent, and also show two form of identification, such as a driver's license and passport. Some landlords will require a credit check.
Our long term rentals are usually on a 6 month to 1 year basis. Most of our Baja rentals are furnished, but there are some unfurnished ones.
For Baja vacation rentals, you put down 25% to hold the property, with the remaining 75% due within 45 days of check in.
The Cost of living in Baja Long Term
Baja's cost of living is about 1/2 of what it costs to live in San Diego. Rents are about 1/2 the cost of San Diego, while common food items are about 25% less. Gas is also about 75% cheaper. In fact most items are cheaper in Baja with the exception of electronics, special packaged foods, and clothing.
